Our core drilling equipment includes an LF-70 core drill rig, a Longyear 44 core drill rig and a Discovery 2 core drill rig (also capable of RC drilling).

The LF-70 core drill rig is currently mounted on marooka tracks. It is capable of drilling HQ and NQ core samples.

The Longyear 44 core drill operates like a side-winder with working angle holes of 45º to 90º. It is capable of drilling HQ (2,500 ft) and NQ (4,000 ft). It is currently truck-mounted. It is capable of drilling fans along a road with the angle holes located off the driver's side of the truck.

The Discovery 2 is capable of providing both core drilling and reverse-circulation performance, providing a cost-effective solution when both reverse circulation and core drilling are required - without having to move off the hole. This combination leads to customer savings and increased productivity.

The rig is designed with state-of-the-art engineering and innovative technology that makes it highly competitive for our use for our core drilling customers. Its design allows us to custom configure it to meet specific needs, such as low-impact and small footprints at the jobsite to reduce the amount of reclamation required during and at the end of a project.

The Discovery 2 operates with working angle holes of 45º to 90º. It is capable of drilling HQ (2,800) ft), NQ (4,500 ft) and BQ. It is currently track-mounted, while it can be custom-configured to meet specific customer needs, such as truck-mounted, skid-mounted, trailer-mounted and even heli-portable. This drill rig can be configured for reverse circulation and with minimum down-time can be reconfigured for core drilling without moving off the hole.
